Carlsbad Climate Action Plan

Dyett & Bhatia led the preparation of a draft Climate Action Plan for the City of Carlsbad, prepared concurrently with an update of the General Plan. The Climate Action Plan is a long-range strategy to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, while supporting a community goal of promoting a sustainable environment. The Climate Action Plan sets a baseline for past and current emissions, forecasts future emissions and establishes targets by which to reduce future emissions to help the city meet state goals for greenhouse gas reduction. It includes greenhouse gas reduction measures addressing renewable energy, residential, commercial, and industrial energy efficiency, and transportation demand management, and is available here.
