Richmond Zoning and Subdivision Regulations
Dyett & Bhatia worked with the City of Richmond to create zoning and subdivision regulations that incorporate innovative strategies to ensure well-designed, high quality development in the city and streamline the review process. The new regulations introduce mixed-use districts to promote pedestrian-oriented development and combine crucial development standards for urban design with sustainable development standards and performance approaches to lighting and noise controls and transportation demand management. They also include standards for accessory dwelling units and alternative housing types and updated affordable housing incentives.
